As part of OMSI's 2019 Mini-Maker Faire, the Portland Printers Alliance hosted a Steamroller printing event. Several groups of artists printed large-format linoleum blocks with a steamroller over the course of the two day event.
The IPRC was one of the groups printing and I was part of a team of five who all collaborated together. Instead of the traditional method of carving, the our block was cut into jigsaw style pieces which were then individually inked and reassembled for the print. Each team member took a turn leading how the pieces should be arranged. The result being each print is a unique monoprint.
